StackTether

Terms of service

Last updated: 21 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between StackTether ("StackTether", "we", "us") and the business that signs up for StackTether ("Customer", "you"). The person accepting these terms confirms they have authority to bind that business. StackTether is offered only to businesses, not to consumers.

1. The service

StackTether connects the business systems you choose (for example your PSA) to the AI apps you choose (for example Claude or ChatGPT) through one secure connection, and gives you a portal to manage your team, vendor connections, AI apps and audit log (the "Service").

2. Accounts

3. Your data, your clients and your vendors

4. AI output

AI apps can misread, summarise wrongly or invent information, even when the underlying data is correct. Vendor data can also be wrong, out of date or contain text written by anyone, including text that looks like instructions. You are responsible for checking AI output before relying on it, and for decisions you make with it. StackTether does not control the AI apps and is not responsible for what they say or do.

5. Acceptable use

You and your users must follow our acceptable use policy. We may suspend access, for a user or for your business, if needed to stop a security threat, a breach of these terms or a legal problem. We will tell you why and restore access once the problem is fixed, where we reasonably can.

6. Fees and billing

7. Availability and support

We work to keep the Service available and secure, but we do not currently offer an uptime commitment or service level agreement. The Service depends on third parties we do not control, including your vendors' APIs, the AI apps and our hosting providers. Support is provided through our contact form on the timeline for your plan.

8. Security

We protect Customer Data with the measures described in our DPA. You are responsible for the security of your own systems, devices, vendor accounts and AI app accounts, and for setting up the access controls StackTether gives you (vendor access per person, AI apps per business and per person).

9. Confidentiality

Each of us will keep the other's non-public information confidential, use it only for this agreement, and protect it with reasonable care. This does not apply to information that is public, already known, independently developed, or that the law requires to be disclosed (with notice where allowed).

10. Intellectual property and feedback

We own the Service, including its software, design and documentation. You own Customer Data. If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them without obligation to you.

11. Term, suspension and termination

12. Warranties and disclaimers

We will provide the Service with reasonable skill and care, substantially as described in our documentation. Apart from that, and to the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", and we disclaim all other warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service, vendor data or AI output will be error-free or uninterrupted.

13. Limitation of liability

14. Indemnity

You will defend and hold us harmless against third-party claims arising from Customer Data, your use of vendor systems or AI apps in breach of their terms, or your breach of the acceptable use policy. We will defend and hold you harmless against third-party claims that the Service, as we provide it, infringes their intellectual property rights.

15. General
