StackTether

About StackTether

StackTether connects a business's systems to AI assistants through one secure connection. It was started by people who work inside a managed service provider and wanted AI help with everyday service desk work, without handing client data to tools they could not control or audit.

Why we built it

Techs spend a lot of the day looking things up: which tickets are open for a client, what happened last time, who the contact is, what was logged yesterday. AI assistants are good at that kind of question, but only if they can reach the PSA, and the early ways of connecting them meant pasting API keys into tools, sharing one login, or giving AI write access nobody asked for.

StackTether is the connection we wanted for ourselves: read-only, tied to each person's own login with 2FA, controlled by the MSP's admins, and audited call by call.

Used in production before launch

StackTether ran in daily production at an MSP before it was offered to anyone else. The safeguards on the security page exist because real use showed where they were needed.

What we stand by

The name

Your software stack, tethered to AI. The logo is two label-maker tags joined by a patch cord, like a well-labelled server rack. The name names no industry, because the same secure core will serve more than one: MSPs first, insurance agencies next.
