Subprocessors
Last updated: 21 October 2026
StackTether uses the companies below to host and run the service. Each may process personal data on our behalf, under written data protection terms, only to provide its part of the service. Our data processing addendum explains how we add or change subprocessors (at least 30 days' notice to customers' admins).

Not subprocessors: the AI apps and vendors you choose
When your business connects a vendor system (for example your PSA) and allows an AI app (for example Claude, ChatGPT or Microsoft 365 Copilot), those companies are not StackTether's subprocessors:
- Your vendors already hold your data under your own contract with them. StackTether reads from them on your instruction, with the API credentials you provide.
- Your AI apps are chosen, contracted and paid for by your business. When a user you allowed approves an AI app, StackTether sends tool answers to that app at the user's request. How the AI app vendor stores and uses that data is governed by your agreement with it. Check its data retention and training settings, and turn off any AI app you do not want used.
Your admins control which AI apps your business allows, can switch an app off for one person, and can disconnect any connection at any time from the portal.
